Correspondence should travel with its evidence.
This section is intended for regionally informed research dispatches with named documentation and open questions, not generalized country profiles.
This opening edition identifies a documented research direction. It does not claim comprehensive regional coverage or a completed primary-source investigation.
Begin with a small sourced record
The launch edition introduces an India institutional-history lead, a Latin American data-processing research lead, and a global language-access lead. These are editorial starting points, not claims of comprehensive coverage.
Keep the original sources visible
A correspondent should identify documents, languages, locations, interview conditions, and uncertainties. Readers need to know which statements come from primary records and which are the writer’s synthesis.
Cross-border claims need cross-border checking
Stories about migration, vendor adoption, international research or standards should be checked against evidence from more than one jurisdiction wherever possible. A local perspective is an asset, not an exemption from verification.
Questions for the record
- Are cited documents accessible and accurately translated?
- What competing local accounts exist?
- What does the dispatch not yet establish?
